Balloon Series: Mt. Rainier
One morning, I was drawing a quick live sketch of Mt. Rainier (Tahoma in the indigenous Salish language) when I noticed a couple of specks hanging in the air: a pair of hot air balloons drifting past the great mountain as it rose above the morning haze. It was the very image of tranquility, and it inspired me to create this first piece in the balloon series.
